Meet the Expert Services Team

SilkRoad is proud to offer unmatched excellence in service and support to our global customer base. We offer an experienced and dedicated team that has helped hundreds of companies – in a multitude of industries – successfully plan, implement, and administer talent management solutions and strategies.


Lisa leads the SilkRoad Expert Services team with her unique vision and experience as a Talent Management leader for over 16 years. A true talent guru, she brings to her work a passion for creating innovative and strategic talent management business environments. Lisa drives programs that create cultures of top talent which focus on reducing cost and increasing profitability.

Lisa has a PhD in life, is a self-recovering computer programmer, and makes the best migas this side of the border.

Kasey brings passionate commitment to the SilkRoad’s Expert Services team. The resident Life Suite, Engagement and Technology expert, Kasey’s one and only mission is to ensure that you are just as successful – if not more successful – than he was as a global talent leader and customer of SilkRoad. Kasey has been in the HR and Talent field since 1999. He’s done it all – from hands-on experience making his own files and programming his own ATS in Access to responsibilities as a sole HR practitioner at a startup and as a global business partner at a Fortune Global 100.

Kasey triple-majored in undergrad, has a master’s degree Human Resource Management, and most importantly, can cook a cheese omelet in a stainless steel pan without it sticking.

Marina is our Employee Onboarding guru. She brings over 25 years of diverse human resources and management experience spanning startups and established Fortune 100 organizations. Marina has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, compensation, performance management, HR workflow development, training and development, and process improvement. With that kind of background, Marina can look holistically at all the change points in the upstream and downstream onboarding cycle and sometimes see your vision even before you imagine it.

Marina is a Six Sigma Black Belt, and she isn’t afraid to use her skills to drive successful behaviors. In addition to speaking fluent Serbo-Croatian, Marina is also the only person we know to have actually broken her foot, dancing to Footloose. That’s why we say, “to know her is to love her.”

Randy has a keenly developed expertise in HR as well as SilkRoad. He joined the Expert Services team after a career as an HR leader for one of the most respected public accounting firms in the country (so yes, he’s a recovering CPA). Previously Randy worked for SilkRoad as a Strategy Director so his knowledge of SilkRoad Products goes deep. Randy’s primary areas of focus with customers are on Performance Management and Succession Planning, working with them to drive better alignment of individual performance with overall organizational success.

Randy has a bachelors and masters, and is a former CPA. He is the one accountant we know who can still make 2+2=5 when it comes to providing innovative thought leadership to our customers.

Deanna has been with SilkRoad for over three years, and like the rest of our team, she was a happy SilkRoad customer before joining the team. Her experience B.S.R(before SilkRoad) spans generalist, employee relations, and systems management. This experience gives Deanna unique insight and understanding as to where our clients are heading. She knows that HR is often an over-worked and under-appreciated function, and her passion is in helping clients become a more valuable asset to their companies.

Carmela has more than 15 years of experience partnering with internal and external customers with compliance, optimization and best practices for learning management. Carmela has extensive LMS and training experience, and shares her knowledge by working with product development, marketing and sales for SilkRoad’s Learning Management System (LMS).

Carmela has a degree in commerce, marketing and promotion, and don’t let the fact that she is from the north pole make you think she is cold, because she has a heart that can warm the room.

Stephanie embodies what we expect of an Expert Services Associate. Stephanie is on the front-lines of supporting the consultants, adding her experience in technology, marketing, and training, mixing the perfect cocktail to help clients achieve their desired results.

Stephanie has a degree in business management, and is one of our distinguished veterans, with an “OORAH” attitude to drive her customers across the finish line.

Meet the Managed Services Team


With more than 15 years of experience in HR (in multiple roles), and eight years of Process Improvement, Mimi’s role at SilkRoad is to assist customers in bridging organizational gaps, recommending new processes, and developing training and communication strategies. Prior to taking on her most recent role leading the Dedicated Administrator team, Mimi held several positions within SilkRoad, working with our customers to drive success.

Mimi is Six Sigma Certified, not afraid to use it, and can create flowcharts that are Louvre-worthy.

Jill is what happens when an Information Technology background collides with Human Resources. Jill joined SilkRoad in 2011 and became a founding member of the Dedicated Administrator team in 2012. Jill has a personal passion for growth and development, which she passes on to her customers. Being the overachiever that she is, Jill is a certified expert in all of SilkRoad’s products.

Jill has a BA in Marketing and an MA in Business Education. Her past experience as a high school teacher likely explains her unique ability to maintain calm in high-stress situations.

Kara is a key member of our team and a long-time SilkRoad family member. From her roots in support, eventually leading the Recruiting support team, to joining the Expert Services team, Kara meets the complex needs of her customers to manage and improve their unique recruiting and onboarding demands.

Kara has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and is consistently acknowledged by her customers for her understanding, prompt resolution skills, and her extensive product knowledge.

Felicia, our resident onboarding know-it all, has been with SilkRoad for 7+ years and has worked exclusively with SilkRoad Onboarding. She is the go-to person for her extensive knowledge of web development technologies, eForms, and her shake-rattle-and-roll personality and flare!

Felicia is the problem-solver, coming up with solutions to “problems” that make our own developer and implementation teams go “WOW.”

Rafael is our resident “funny man” and Jack-of-all-trades. Rafael has been with SilkRoad for over 4 years and has a long and distinguished background. From being an Air Traffic Controller in the Air Force (we appreciate the service!), to more than 10 years in Sales and Customer Service, Rafael brings a lot of passion and drive to the team and to his customers.

Rafael has an MBA in Accounting, originally comes from Puerto Rico, and is an incredible dancer.

David has been with SilkRoad since 2006, and has been a member of multiple teams before settling down into his current role as a Dedicated Administrator. David is an avid sportsman, who applies a similar passion, patience and skill to his profession and customers

David has a Business Administration/Economics degree from High Point University. He is an empathetic individual, who truly bonds with his customers to understand their needs.

Courtney is a newer member of the team, but don’t let that fool you. Like many of our members, Courtney is a former customer with real-world HR experience. Courtney partners with customers across the country to assist with the implementation and administration of their HR systems, with the diligence of someone that has actually made their own files before.

Courtney has both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees, with a diverse skillset and experience in many industries. She may come off quiet, but when she talks, her clients listen.

Sarah is a recent addition to the SDA team, but not new to SilkRoad. Many of our customers know her as one of the voices on the other end of the phone in Support, where she worked to ensure our customers have a successful experience. With more than 15+ years of support experience, 6+ of those years at SilkRoad, Sarah will be working with a small group of customers in their efforts to deliver a great HR experience to their employees.

Sarah is an avid reader, loving mother, and a proud mom to a US Marine.

Emily has been with SilkRoad since 2013 and has experience with SilkRoad Onboarding, Learning, and Performance. Emily comes to the SDA team from Support, which makes her a natural problem solver. She has a diverse career background, which includes securities trading!

She has a Bachelor’s in Commercial and Electronic Music, which shows itself in her ability to find creative solutions.

Brandon graduated with honors from Catawba College (Salisury, NC) in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. A SilkRoad employee since July 2012, Brandon worked as a SilkRoad Learning Support Analyst until joining the SDA team in early 2015. Before SilkRoad, Brandon spent 7 years working for a major national bank, working in support for 5 years and as a reporting analyst/project manager for 2 of those years.

Brandon’s Accomplishments include being voted as a top performer (top 3% of all employees) in Technology and Operations Group, designing process maps for an offshoring project, serving as a subject matter expert for ATM Cash Balancing, and overseeing conversion of over 5,000 ATMs on the east coast to envelope free machines.

Hobbies – Tennis, Cooking, Golf, Playing Music, Watching NASCAR, Listening to Live Music


Anthony has worked with SilkRoad since 2011. His initial role was as a member of the Professional Services team implementing Onboarding for multiple clients. As a member of the SDA team Anthony is excited about the opportunity to expand his product knowledge.

In his past career, Anthony owned a Consulting company, functioned as a Management Consultant, Project Manager and Business Analyst on several successful implementations.

His hobbies include spending time with my family, Sports, Music, Sci-Fi and of course all things technology related.
